Nomad Whisky

A whisky born and aged in Scotland but raised in Jerez!

Antonio Flores and Richard Paterson (Whyte & Mackay) have been friends for many years. They visit each other on a regular basis, and they always share ideas, thoughts and knowledge, as they are specialists within their fields – always trying to improve their products and innovate.

During one of these visits, the two brilliant minds produced the idea of behind the Nomad whisky – they wanted to do things the complete opposite way of what they used to. Antonio and Richard decided to “change the rules”:

Instead of sending the casks to Scotland … why don’t we send a premium blended whisky of more than 30 whiskies (with ages between 5 and 8 years) to Jerez? And see how it ages and develops in our bodega?

They experimented with casks of Fino, Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherries.

Finally, the casks previously holding Pedro Ximénez were chosen.

The whisky then ages for at least 12 months before being bottled.
