Here’s a blend that proves anyone who thinks blends are not brilliant are in fact b’llends. Bright and light, Nikka Days uses malt and grain whiskies from both Nikka’s Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, and as a result transitions from the fruitier notes into a deeper, richer and very subtle peaty profile.
This is a great entry into the world of whisky at ÂŁ40, because it has a dose of all the core whisky components youâd expect in the best of single malts – from floral, to rich toffee, to smoke, ensuring it’s a safe bet for sipping and should satisfy any whisky drinker. But the flavours also thrive with the addition of soda, not to mention the surprising blend with Appletiser…. We’re seriously….

Yuzu soda, to top

Build in a glass with ice, give it a stir then garnish.

Simply add the whisky into your empty highball glass, then good quality ice to the top, give a gentle stir. Add more ice, always making sure the ice is to the top of the glass. Add the soda, just from the top, stir again, gently. Garnish and serve.
