Where this lovely light and easy-drinking single malt differs from more severe and intense single malts is that, after an initial pot still distillation, it’s distilled for a second time on a 10m tall, 40 copper plate column still.
Were it made in Scotland, this unique vanilla-toned whisky, with hints of summer fruit, could not be called a single malt. But below the border, its approach is entirely in tune with English whisky-regulations and, since its release, it has developed a strong following among new world whisky aficionados.
A perfect whisky for a Whisky Highball.
