This is an acutely rare example of a ”Single Grain” whisky fashioned from a combination of three different grains: raw wheat (sweetness and rounded mouthfeel), rye (spice) and barley (creamy) with a touch of malted barley.
Naturally sweet, smooth and a bit buttery, with a spicy finish, it will appeal to those who drink bourbon and is an ideal stepping stone into the wider whisky category.
While there’s enough complexity here to enjoy on its own with a chunk of ice but its versatility lends itself wonderfully to whisky cocktails including an Old Fashioned, a Highball or simply with mixers – we tried it with London Essence White Peach & Jasmine soda and it was lovely.
