Masthouse Single Malt (Double Pot Distilled) – Lilac Label

Within the Masthouse portfolio of avant-garde English spirits, this smooth so-and-so is the closest to a traditional Scottish single malt – distilled as the Scots would do it – twice in a copper pot still

It’s not peaty but there’s a hint of peppery heat on the palate yet, close to Glenfarclas in character, it’s marvellously mellow yet with an complex youthful exuberance to it.

Expect flavour notes of white chocolate fudge, ginger biscuits and green apple notes.

Rich in its mouthfeel with a grainy texture at its base, it evokes oatcakes with Nutella, citrus notes and a velvety vanilla finish.
